James Zander is an award-winning actor and member of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. He is also a member of Creative Scotland's National Youth Arts Advisors, supporting young voices in the arts throughout the UK.

Presented The Volunteer Of The Year Award in 2016 for his outstanding contribution towards helping vulnerable people create Theatre and is well-known in his area for his inspiring creativity. He is part of an award-winning web series, as well as several other projects and can be seen in the 48HR Film Festival Glasgow, he is honing his craft by attending various screen acting and writing courses.

Born in Greenock, Scotland, Zander started acting at the age of 9. Within his first year of graduating from Centre for Performing Arts, training in stage and screen, he went on to his first theatrical acting job at 20 years old. He starred in the pantomime “Peter Pan” and performed as the lead in over 200 venues across the UK with M&M Theatrical Productions - the UK’s No. 1 Touring Theatre Company. Zander went on to work with Can You Catch The Killer, a murder mystery company - nominated 5 stars by Theatre in Scotland/The Scots Reviewer and most recently toured South Lanarkshire with Arkeen  Theatre Company throughout schools.

Inverclyde Community Trust recently took him on as an Independent Artist to coordinate and direct a group of refugees from South Sudan, creating a physical theatre piece aimed to promote heritage.

Zander is a passionate actor who has a great deal of athleticism, presence and commitment to his work, he has a story to tell and vision to share. Zander moves his audiences and changes people's perspectives and invests his creativity and spark into his craft.
